Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense
Our sales team constantly travels. This might be to conferences or visiting clients. When we do, we are reimbursed for our expenses. This can be things like meals or driving charges. When we do, we need to document that information and then get reimbursed for it later. Usually, we would take a picture of receipts and then have to load them in and fill out additional information. With Concur, we're able to easily take a pic with our phone and have it read the receipt and fill out most of the information for us. Leading to a lot less time needing to be spent on it.
- The picture functionality works very well.
- It pre-populates a lot of the information we need to fill out in order to get reimbursed.
- It does not have a lot of steps to complete the report.
- The only negative I feel they have is the need to use the lock functionality on my phone. Before Concur, I didn't use a keypad to unlock my phone. For some reason, when you use Concur you need to have a keylock in. For me, that was a little annoying. Not a huge negative but a negative.
- I will admit, sometimes I would forget to do my expenses after a session cause I didn't feel like doing all the work it entailed. With Concur now being so easy, I don't have that problem. This ensures $100-$250 does not go missing.
Concur is by far the best. The camera functionality and how it reads the information and automatically pre-populates it makes it the best I've ever used.

- Being able to take a picture of a receipt and have it be read and parsed out is great.
- The features I needed to use were super simple and I didn't find any that I felt negative about.
We freely admitted that amounts would be skewed due to us not getting the data in cleanly before Concur. After, we've seen near perfect outcomes. Its also in a lot sooner. Since it takes seconds to load everything in, you notice people doing it right away. Before Concur it would take weeks sometimes.

- The way the app will read recipes for you is super helpful. Gone are the days that you need to take the receipt, scan it and then add in the actual dollar amounts. The app takes care of that for you.

We don't currently have any other integrations with our SAP Concur. It has everything we need which doesn't force us to use anything else.
This definitely saves a lot of time. Usually, the day after a travel day would start with spending an hour or two adding in all the receipts. Now, that step is completing skipped. We've already added in the receipts and just simply need to submit.
I've not seen another expense software that will let you take a picture of the receipt and not ask you to add in the amounts. As long as the paper wasn't folded up too much, it populates the dollar amount fields. I've shown this feature to a friend out at a conference and they confirmed their software does not have the same functionality.
I've learned that the way I used to travel in the past(gathering tons and tons of receipts and forced to bring to the office) is over. Once I pay for something, I simply take a picture of the receipt and then throw it away. The stress of going through my wallet, pockets and back pack to see where old receipts are is gone. When i come back to the office from a trip, I can get back to work right away. Knowing this is an option now makes the trip a lot less stressful.
