Concur is a great expense and travel platform
Overall Satisfaction with Concur Expense
Concur is our designated tool for travel and expense management. It is used by all employees that require work travel, accommodations and need to create and submit expense reports. Concur has been used by our organization for several years now, with a change to include all travel arrangements over the last couple of years. It allows for a centralized application that can track, approve and manage expenses.
Pros
- Create reporting that allows for detailed expense reports.
- Easy to use travel interface.
- Easy for user and manager to review reports and provide appropriate approvals.
Cons
- Travel component doesn't always appear to show all available flights.
- Red flag statuses don't always make sense but that may be a set-up/definition issue related to company rules.
- Ability to manage and control expenses.
- Ability to integrate travel and expense in one portal.
- Ease of use for manager and user.
Egencia was our former travel management tool that has since been replaced by Concur. Egencia offers much of the same capability as Concur but doesn't integrate as well as Concur does on the overall expense management components. It's travel offerings often appeared limited as did its car rentals, although admittedly due to corporate rules and regulations. On a side by side basis, Concur's dashboard and powerful reporting and expense management tools feel richer and more intuitive.
