Expense

Overall Satisfaction with Concur Expense

Concur is the tool used to manage expenses across the entire European organization. Typically employees pay either with their money or a company card, and then use Concur to justify the expenses and claim the money back. It's also used for the managers to review the expenses of the teams, as well as for HQ to control and classify the expenses.
  • The granularity of the data given is quite good.
  • Despite annoying for the user to fill, it's good for the company to have such a detailed level of spending and labels for the information.
  • The Concur app makes it convenient for users to speed up the process, especially the part of scanning the bills via photos with the phone.
  • The itemization process is quite slow. It's not very clear what requires itemization and what doesn't, and it's not specified until you have filled the data. Sometimes you have to refill the information that you have already filled, like, for example, information about a hotel room. It would be better if Concur prefilled with the already available information, and the user would only have to change it if it's convenient or required insterad of having to repeat it again.
  • Some groupings are a bit inadequate and lack some information, like more specific meal times/categories. Also it's confusing when you have to expense a dinner with a large group of people. Is it labeled as a celebration or just dinner?
  • The phone app lacks the itemization process. You cannot complete the entire process with the phone.
  • It definitely allows to control and have more visibility of costs.
  • It has the flexibility to allow the process to be done via mobile phone.
  • The process might take some time and people do not appreciate doing this administrative work, especially with an interface that looks old fashioned.

Do you think SAP Concur delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with SAP Concur's feature set?

Yes

Did SAP Concur live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of SAP Concur go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy SAP Concur again?

Yes

Concur is adequate for big companies and companies who want to control and have detailed information of the expenses since it gathers granular information on expenses (like what type, when, etc.).

Less suited for smaller companies, or companies less focused on cost control, that might want to give more freedom to their people or avoid a process that's a bit slow and boring.
