Concur Travel and Expense is the company-wide solution for expense report processing and travel booking. It replaced an out-of-date solution.

As an end-user, I can't really speak to how Concur Travel and Expense has helped my organization evolve, grow, and adapt; but it replaced an out-of-date expense tracking solution which was certainly on its last legs, so this was a welcome upgrade from my perspective.
My personal experience in booking travel and submitting expense reports has been exceptional. The interface is easy to use and the functionality is well thought out. I have not yet experienced a moment where I found myself frustrated with the software. The previous software that we were using was a nightmare to use.
Concur Travel and Expense would probably not be appropriate for a very small organization, but it is well-suited to large organizations.

The user interface is very simple and clean. It is very easy to figure out how to use the software without any training whatsoever. Calls to action are clearly labeled, and many tedious tasks are automatically completed for the user without any intervention needed.

Update 11/20/20: I continue to be impressed with the ease of use of the Concur Travel and Expense application. I am able to create and submit entire expense reports with just a few clicks; it takes less than 45 seconds for me to create and submit a typical expense report. Truly impressive.

My organization's expense report process has evolved from:

- an Excel spreadsheet that needed to be printed out and submitted manually with receipts stapled to it, to
- an ancient piece of software that required a software emulator to run on my computer, took several minutes just to launch, and was extremely difficult to use, to
- Concur Travel and Expense, which works in any browser, is directly connected to my corporate credit card, and makes expense tracking and expense report submission an easy and borderline pleasurable task.
I am not involved in the deployment of this software so I cannot speak to its scalability, but I would have to imagine that the product is very scalable, since I work for a very large organization. I do not believe that our information technology procurement department would have chosen a solution that was not scalable for deployment across our entire organization.
Again, I was not personally involved in the deployment of this piece of software for our organization, but I would have to imagine that our information technology department chose Concur Travel and Expense after a rigorous review of all competing software solutions, and that the ease of integration was a contributory factor in my organization's decision.

I can only speak to my own personal experience: I can reiterate that it has saved me a lot of time and stress dealing with travel and expenses. I can use the time I gain to work on projects instead of managing travel and expenses. I would have to imagine that other people throughout my organization are experiencing similar benefits.
Concur is way better than the other business expense reimbursement programs that I have used in the past. The most recent program that we used before Concur required a VPN connection and a virtual Internet Explorer browser window to manage expenses. It was a nightmare! Before that, I had to keep track of expenses manually in a spreadsheet, then print it out with printed receipts stapled to it. Not with Concur! My expenses feed directly into the software when I use my corporate credit card. The travel booking feature is also much better -- instead of using an outdated, slow corporate travel hub website, Concur allows me to quickly search for and book travel. It's such a breeze compared to the old way.
I can only continue to reiterate that Concur Travel and Expense has been a huge time saver for me personally, and that I certainly could not envision going back to the old systems for business expense reimbursement or for travel booking. These new tools have made the process so straightforward, simple, and easy. I'm very appreciative that they are available to me.
