Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight
The tool is used by the online customer experience team (marketing department) to measure the impact of our SEO strategy and adjust it accordingly, using data to back up our decisions - now starting to be used also by the content team in the same department for keyword research and content performance tracking.
- Keyword rank trends - useful to keep track of the rank history of a keyword
- Audience intent explorer - particularly useful to find long tail keywords
- Categories and segments - extremely useful to group pages and keywords into clusters
- Technical SEO - recommendations are still too general and only about on-page factors
- Backlinks - would love a comprehensive backlink audit tool
- Made SEO efforts faster
- Increased reporting efficiency
- Educated the company on the importance of SEO
Overall good quality and excellent quantity. It's extremely important to keep track of past traffic and ranks up to 2-3 years ago in order to see the big picture, identify trends and assess the actual impact of our strategies.
Both team have just started to use the tool in synergy, thanks to the excellent training of our customer success rep. The collaboration just started, but we are already seeing an improvement in terms of content quality, as well as a more dedicated effort to meet reader's expectations and answer their questions.
I wasn't the decision maker. I used BrightEdge in my previous company and overall is very similar to Conductor in terms of functionalities, but the customer support of Conductor is much more helpful.
