Overall Satisfaction with Conductor Searchlight

Conductor is currently being used department-wide as our primary keyword tracking and reporting tool.

Pros

  • Easy to use and intuitive interface
  • Excellent and responsive customer service
  • Deep dive features such as Competitive Intelliscope, Audience Intent Explorer

Cons

  • Keyword updates every Sunday so if you’re looking for extremely current data on a time crunch, it may not work
  • Increased reporting efficiency and accuracy
  • Allows for keyword visibility driven decision making for content
  • Provides insights into content quality, content gaps, and page optimizations
Customer chat service is extremely helpful and quick to respond. From a small request to a general interface questions, the reps are always helpful and knowledgeable. Always a pleasure talking to them.
I’ve used Rank Ranger for smaller accounts, Moz for keyword/content discovery, and SEMRush for historical data I can’t get in Conductor due to membership timing. Conductor doesn’t allow you to look at historical keyword data prior to you uploading those keywords.
Good for keyword tracking, content optimization ideas, competitor visibility, and keyword discovery on a landing page basis. Not so suited for keyword research projects.

Using Conductor Searchlight

Workspaces are useful to disseminate keyword data to the larger team at my agency, which gives crosschannel insights to employees who aren’t in Conductor everyday and are not comfortable navigating it to find a particular thing.

For quicker ranks/analysis, we do offer daily tracking. You can also pull data instantly for untracked keywords in Audience Intent Explorer and Domain Explorer.
