Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer

Integrated with SFDC, used for quote configuration using the SFDC Product object and then for Word doc generation. We are able to generate and have the latest version of the quote on the opportunities as primary and at the same time see the history of the quotes generated (they are automatically saved in the attachment section).

Pros

  • Customizable templates (ability to build the template from scratch)
  • Fast quote export straight to the PC and auto save in SFDC upon each export (

Cons

  • Difficult to configure and maintain, Complex tool overall
  • Not user friendly UI (from an admin perspective)
  • Quoting process takes about 5 mins/quote and provides full visibility to management and admins on the quotes generated.
It will definitely prevent users from making mistakes/errors and will keep your CRM up to date automatically, however the UI/UX can take some time to learn/get used to as it is not always intuitive.
Positively. We save time and increase data cleanliness in our systems.
Benchmarking is upcoming. Conga Composer was already implemented when I joined the company

You will need an experienced admin especially for the SFDC integration part. The tool is very extensive/complete but difficult to deploy and maintain. It runs very well, however change management can be complex, especially in an organization that constantly evolves. However, it will almost certainly be able to handle most use cases (including multi currency, multi geography, all based on conditions and rules).
