Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
I currently use ConnectWise Control to remotely support my customers.
- Allows me to quickly remotely connect to users who need assistance.
- Allows me to reliably reconnect with users in the future.
- Supports Two-Factor Authentication.
- Sometimes dragging and dropping files into a support session don't always work. In those cases, I have to choose the send files to.. option.
- Sometimes have an issue when the user clicks run (in Internet Explorer) to install connectwise, the next dialog box that appears is sometimes suppressed in the background (IE on top of it) and only shows up as an icon on the taskbar. Once the user clicks the icon on the taskbar it brings the box back into the foreground. Happens only with IE and not with Chrome or Firefox.
- Sometimes on some old XP machines, ScreenConnect takes up 100% CPU.
- In comparison to what I use to use which was GoToAssist, ConnectWise has saved me A LOT of time.
- The way in which all sessions are in their own detached windows, which allows me to move them to different monitors is a great time saver.
I came from GoToAssist which is was being increasingly dissatisfied with. GoToAssist would constantly remove itself from a user's system leaving behind nothing but dead shortcuts. Once reinstalled it couldn't run as a service, without walking the user through uninstalling and reinstalling the client. it was VERY frustrating. GoToAssist also never had an "Always on top" checkmark. Thus it would always run on top of everything else. Let's just say, I'm on cloud 9 with ConnectWise. Everything I had ever dreamed was in GoToAssist is now at my fingertips with ConnectWise. I would recommend it to anyone.
