We use ConnectWise ScreenConnect to support our internal staff while in the office or working remotely.
  • Booting into Safe Mode with Networking
  • You can search user names to find which computer they are using
  • Remote sessions over poor network connnections
ScreenConnect is really good for internal support, msp usage, or for doing remote sessions with customers. It is a well built product but suffers from not having significant modernization improvements to the security architecture. They should find a way to embrace things like zero trust and put effort into hardening the web interface.

Neuvision uses ConnectWise to manage all of our clients' infrastructure and offers remote support to individuals that need computer help. This platform helps us tremendously in getting our clients out of computer issues related to adding network devices, removing malware and virus to administering server off hours without the need to physically be there onsite.
  • Remote access to computers.
  • Reconnecting after a reboot or switching between user profiles on the same computer.
  • Recording of sessions so that we cannot be help responsible for something we did not do.
  • Multiple sessions where one employee can work on 3 concurrent computers at the same time.
Great for remote support where our company can manage clients with speed and easy and cut down on travel and costs. Less appropriate where Internet access is very slow or nonexistent.

My technicians and I use ConnectWise Control typically when we have no monitoring agent installed on the client's PC. We are an MSP, but we also do break-fix work for several clients. We use ConnectWise Control for billable remote work for those clients. It allows us to quickly connect to a client's PC, and assess any issues they're having and address them immediately, as opposed to dispatching a technician.

  • Great end-user experience
  • Great for technicians both in the office, and on the road
We use ConnectWise Control for clients that aren't on our Managed Service tier. Generally, this is very much a call center type of use case. The client will call in with an issue, and we can fix it remotely by using ConnectWise Control to make that connection. This solution is great for clients that are less technologically inclined.

Just one person. It was used to connect to remote monitoring tool and also for the integration of xerox managed print and service agreements.

It is well suited to large Managed IT Services organizations that are managing clients with fifty plus users. It is ideal for those who are adept at computers and software and programming due to the limitless customization possibilities. It is not well suited for small companies, or companies managing small companies, unless there is a safe volume.

We often need to create an ad-hoc session with a device that is not under our management. Connectwise Control [(formerly ScreenConnect)] gives us a robust resource to control the device, navigate anywhere we need, execute various commands, and engage in an on-screen chat with the client. The session is very simple to create and very user-friendly to initiate.
  • The ability to execute commands from the Control console is very effective.
  • Sessions have settings to reduce the resolution for times when bandwidth is at a premium. You can manually reduce the data for the session this way.
  • A URL and a 5 digit access code are all that are need to initiate a session for an end user. It is very user-friendly.
We often need to create an ad-hoc session with a device that is not under our management. We find ourselves doing this more than ever in the COVID world. Many people are working from home on personal machines with their employer, our client's permission and we are facilitating more support for these personal machines. Connectwise Control [(formerly ScreenConnect)] gives us a robust resource to control the device, navigate anywhere we need, execute various commands, and engage in an on-screen chat with the client. The session is very simple to create and very user-friendly to initiate. We do not recommend it for Android, Apple, or Chromebook applications. There is little to no support for these platforms.

Our IT Department uses ConnectWise Control to view our employee's computers across our entire organization. "In the world of Covid...", many of our employees still work from home, and having an easy way for them to connect into a support session is paramount. Our previous remote support solutions were a lot more clunky and took a larger footprint, and that makes a big difference with an abundance of legacy (ahem, OLD) PC we have out there.
  • Small download and CPU/Memory footprint makes ConnectWise Control stand out.
  • You do NOT need to use the rest of the ConnectWise suite of products to use ConnectWise Control
  • There are a lot of very smart options that make the program easy to use for IT, support professionals.
The obvious use for ConnectWise Control is to provide a reliable remote control session to user's PCs. We also use it as a remote desktop to access our servers. Each remote desktop you have access to a shared toolbox of common programs which is very helpful. You can see more than one screen at a time, which sounds like a dumb feature however there are a lot of programs where you can only view one screen or only one screen at a time.

Since the pandemic hit, ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect) is used to remote control other employees' computers for troubleshooting purposes. It helps in controlling remote systems fast and easily.

We use ConnectWise Control as part of the ConnectWise, an MSP, across the whole organization. Primarily, it was used in the managed service department and IT for asset management, automation and remote desktop assistance e.g. patch assistance and monitoring. It was useful to have a complete packaged system without the need to work with lots of different software to reach our goals.

  • Ability to have more than 1 support user log into a computer at one time
ConnectWise Control was a love and hate relationship. It's the giant in MSP software so you must consider it if you are a fairly sizeable company with over a few thousand seats. I would not recommend it for a small business as it will be too much.

ConnectWise packages, individually, rarely are not the best in that sector but it's just the fact that everything is in one place.

We use ConnectWise Control as our remote solution for external and internal employees. The ability to maintain security, provide UAC credentials and provide a great user experience is what makes this product such a great tool. The configuration was easy, and once setup, you don't have to touch it at all. User administration is easy, and provides different levels of access.

  • Flexibility of connection type: CODE, Email, etc.
  • Stable application, no issues after 6 years
We have been using ConnectWise support for quite a while, and the ability to provide administrator credentials solved a security risk we had with remote users being local administrators of their computer. This feature allowed us to lock down the computer, close the security hole and increase our security posture of the company in relation to remote workforce.

ConnectWise Control is what we use to remote into our entire client bases PCs. Its used by the entire organization and is the primary tool we use to help troubleshoot our customers issues.
  • Quick remote connections
  • High uptime when connected to clients
  • File movement from our machines to theirs
Perfect for when you have it installed and need to remote into a PC and troubleshoot an issue. It hasn't worked quite as well when its not already installed and people have to try and install it from our website. That has caused a lot of issues for us, but we eventually get it working.

ConnectWise Control works really well for us.

We use ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect) to manage remote and control our unattended systems so that we can perform maintenance, support, and even installation. Once connected, we have access to the entire system, but since it does not need any special port forwarding, firewall settings, or other complicated configurations to make it work, we find it a nice solution.

  • Allows sound and microphone to be mapped to the technician's computer
  • Scales the screen well
It is a great solution for accessing unattended computers that need remote support and maintenance. It allows us to run scripts on groups of computers and also supports control-alt-delete when needed. The software is especially useful when supporting Linux and Windows (probably Macs also) because it works equally as well for both platforms. In situations where you aren't supporting remote computers, it may make sense to use a different solution that has a few more features (like AD integration).

Primarily it's used by our service team and its features and functionality have greatly assisted us to accelerate the support of our clients. It's been a very good investment for the company.

ConnectWise Control is good for IT support organizations that want to quickly and securely provide remote access ability to workstations. For remote access into a work PC, its doesn't have good passthrough printer support as much as programs like GoToMyPC, Splashtop or LogMeIn. Overall for an MSP it's a good solution.

ConnectWise Control was implemented and use by our customer service dept. as a major tool for our technician working to support our customer. However, since the pandemic, we re-implement the software to also support our engineers working from home and connect to their equipment.

As a share screen software, ConnectWise is well suited for using in customer support and helpdesk area. It is also useful when access to administrative console session. At the time in my previous job, [ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)] was used across the entire organization. It was used along with Automate to remote into machines. I have also used it heavily to support people outside of work. It is very versatile and has extremely quick and reliable connections. Fast connections that don't drop are very important when supporting people, and Control doesn't disappoint.
  • The interface is easy to use and makes sense. It's easy to understand how to organize a large number of machines involving multiple clients. But, it's also applicable for smaller set of machines too.
  • The connection speed is very quick. I've used solutions in the past that take a variable amount of time to connect, or they just take a long time every time. Control is quick every time. It doesn't get in the way of being able to support the machines on the other end.
  • The connections are reliable. I haven't experienced random disconnects throughout hundreds of instances. It was a breath of fresh air coming from the previous solution we used. I consider Control a gold standard for what a great remote connection solution can be.
I feel [ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)] works on all sizes of implementations. I've used it with about 1000 endpoints and I've even used it for managing a couple family machines to make remote support easier. It works super well and does exactly what you want it to. It has not disappointed me at all and I'd recommend it to any employers I work for as well.

It is a very robust piece of software that allows remote connection for support. It does not require a lot of network speed for a decent connection which is nice. It also appears to work well on Mac's and PC's. The ease of connection also makes supporting non technical users easier

It is best suited for assisting remote users whose computer are not able to access in person. Due to it requiring a low bandwidth connection and still working well and securely it helps in these situations. It also can be setup for remote connections with out having to have a user present allowing you to work on issues on servers or when the client is not available to connect you.

We used it to remotely assist and troubleshoot user issues. It allowed us to shorten the response time to the issue.
  • The Remote Terminal feature was amazing, it gave us the ability to remotely run scripts and find info we needed without interrupting the user.
  • The responsiveness of the remote console is quick and helps in troubleshooting.
Whenever you need remote access to users' computers for troubleshooting / help desk support, ConnectWise Control is a great contender.

Three years into my startup business and using Screenconnect. Though my RMM tool has another way of connecting it is not as robust as Screenconnect. If all else fails, I use Screenconnect to provide remote support. It is also useful for new and prospective clients who have not been added to my RMM platform. Screenconnect is significantly better than the competition, however their support leaves a lot to be desired.

[It's well suited for a] one-man operation where you need a tool that just works. I can't think of less appropriate [scenario] for a remote support tool. I have a remote support tool on my RMM which can be a bit finicky at times. ConnectWise Control just works - even on iffy bandwidth.

We use ConnectWise Control to provide remote IT support to our clients. With our regular clients, we have it set up so their computers are always connected and always accessible for remote support. For other clients, we use the function that allows them to temporarily connect their computers for the duration of a service call. Using ConnectWise Control makes it easy for us to provide service to our clients without having to make a trip to their site. We can do things off-hours, when clients are not using their computers, thus limiting disruption to their workday. We can also help clients promptly, rather than having them wait until someone can make a visit to their offices. It also saves us a lot of time and expense by reducing the need to travel to clients' sites.
  • Provides reliable, secure connection to control remote computers.
  • Allows for both "permanent" connections for regular clients, as well as short-term, on-demand connections for one-off clients.
  • It's a very affordable solution for a small IT support business like mine.
ConnectWise Control is well suited for any IT support company that needs to remotely control computers. It is an excellent tool for this purpose. It could potentially be used by a person who needs to remotely control a computer, but it's probably not so well suited for something like that.

ConnectWise Control (ScreenConnect) is the best remote software on the market. We use it to resolve customer issues daily. This software prevents the need to send a tech on-site as it allows for so many different functions. Do not waste your money on another remote control software. We use ConnectWise Control to support users on and off the company network, at trade events and at home for troubleshooting issues, for general set up, and for adding software and devices to machines. We use it for any other action that requires us to interact with a user account and not RDP in over them, such as setting up drives and changing printer settings.
  • Access is through a small app that can be pre-installed on company machines, so the user does not need to interact at all other than to request support in the first place. The ability to connect without requiring user input is huge.
  • Connecting to a machine for the first time when you do not have access installed is a simple process and the easiest one I've found so far for users to do.
  • I can see UAC prompts.
  • Organizing connected machines is very easy.
It's the easiest support option I've ever found for users to deal with. The messaging is great and it's low-resource.
