Overall Satisfaction with ConnectWise Control (formerly ScreenConnect)
As an education trainer for Cleo, my students (roughly 30/month) use a RDP connection to an AWS instance where our Clarify software and necessary environments are installed/available. I access their sessions as Administrator, just as they do. This allows me to view their activity real-time. I can take control (without them granting me permission) anytime I see them getting lost. This is the ONLY way to keep an eye on their activity,
- Ability to annotate ("draw") on their sessions allows me to point them to the right area of our product's UI
- I can chat privately with them, and they with me. Sometimes they don't want to talk in class, but are comfortable typing.
- I can send them files and/or retrieve files from their instances directly, bypassing emails.
- I have to acquire screen-locking each time I access their session; I wish this was automatically done.
- The default title bar of the window can be customized, but it's too complicated (for me, anyway) so I just let it default.
- As I have 5-6 ConnectWise windows (one for each student) on my second monitor in each class, I'd like to see the sizing and positioning of those windows to be easier to control.
- Control of multiple remote sessions simultaneously.
- Ability for one instructor to teach/monitor multiple students in the same remote class ... more bang for our buck ... one instructor can lead multiple students.
