Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman
We use Contractor Foreman to have one central location to manage all aspects of a project. We file contracts, photos, and more and use the individual modules to generate RFI's, Change Orders, Daily Logs, and utilize the financial reporting and processing available to us as well. We like the ability to manage multiple projects and most aspects associated with the job in one place.
Pros
- Change Orders - the system will generate a change order and send it out for a virtual signature all within the software.
- Creating an estimate and then using that estimate to onboard a project and generate a contract from the estimate is handy.
- Customizable daily logs have been very handy and there is no need to grab and file them as they automatically file in their own module and are easily found.
Cons
- There is no sheet or plan viewing feature
- The document writer struggles with formatting
- Would be nice to see more schedule integration options.
- Better tracking of FRI, Change orders and more
- There is no designated work flow like competitors prompting the next person, you still need to manage your processes closely
- App is easy to use and fill out reports for those in the field. Field reporting has become more consistent as a result
Contractor Foreman is much easier to use than the other softwares demo'd. Ultimately we got stuck while exploring other softwares and found them a bit difficult to navigate. Contractor Foreman was also available at a fraction of the cost. While the other big name competitors may have more advanced capabilities, we felt like we couldn't even utilize the capabilities as they were too complex to navigate. We hope Contractor Foreman may add some capabilities in the future while maintaining it's ease of use.
