Overall Satisfaction with Contractor Foreman

We used Contractor Foreman to organize our day-to-day needs as a construction company, mostly for Purchase Orders, Estimates, Change Orders, RFIs, and Work Orders. Contractor Foreman keeps all our necessary information in one place and is mostly user-friendly. It also allows us to itemize material purchased with their Cost Database function.

Pros

  • User-friendly functionality.
  • Customer Support is quick and helpful.
  • Allows for suggestions to be submitted.

Cons

  • Submittal function doesn't allow you to pick items from Cost Database.
  • No option for program to automatically populate a Expiration Date on Estimates when they are created.
  • Changing status of a item can cause errors.
  • If an approved estimate is adjusted, the pricing on any Change Order does not update.
  • Positive impact in terms of accessibility and organization.
  • Sometimes you want to do something the program won't allow.
They strive to make the program user-friendly, and that shows. However, it seems sometimes they take it too far and then the application becomes more complicated to use. It is important for them to remember that not all construction companies operate in the same fashion, and some people more simple functionality (or at least the option for it) rather than too many options for a simple task.
Personally, this is the only program of its kind that I have used.

Do you think Contractor Foreman delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Contractor Foreman's feature set?

Yes

Did Contractor Foreman live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Contractor Foreman go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Contractor Foreman again?

Yes

Contractor Foreman is great for managing Purchase Orders and the Item Cost Database is quick for itemizing them. I don't like that most functionalities are beginning to be determined only by using "submit for approval" option, when some of our customers are not savvy enough to use an outside applicaiton, we prefer to print .pdf's and email them to our customers.

Hi Jennie, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate your positive comments about Contractor Foreman, especially regarding our user-friendly functionality, responsive customer support, and the value you’ve found in our Cost Database and Purchase Order management. We also appreciate your constructive insights. We understand how important flexibility is, especially when it comes to functions like submittals, estimate expiration dates, and change order pricing updates. Your feedback helps us identify areas where we can improve, and I’ve shared your suggestions with our product development team for consideration in future updates. Regarding the “submit for approval” functionality, we recognize that not all clients prefer or are comfortable with external applications. We’ll review how we can better support both digital workflows and traditional processes like PDF exports for email communications. Thank you again for choosing Contractor Foreman. If you have any further suggestions or if there’s anything we can do to enhance your experience, please feel free to reach out directly. Best regards, Falak Naz Khan Contractor Foreman
