Overall Satisfaction with Crazy Egg
We use Crazy Egg as a secondary web analytics tool, alongside Google Analytics, to give us the ability to see heat mapping and scroll measures, as well as give us easy A/B testing opportunities in a way that offers minimal impact to our main website build. Google Analytics offers excellent audience data, but lacks UX data.
Pros
- Heatmapping
- A/B Testing
- Scroll mapping
Cons
- Complex A/B testing scenarios
- Audience demographic information
- Conversion tracking
- Improved conversions via test plans
- Highlighting places users are frustrated
- Determining success of landing pages
Crazy Egg is much better than Google Analytics at user experience analysis and making real, practical improvements to the website, but falls short on audience demographic information. We use both for different types of analysis. I prefer the user experience and ease of use in Crazy Egg, as Google Analytics is extremely hard to learn and keep up with.
