Overall Satisfaction with Customer.io

Customer.io is the primary and major marketing communication tool for our clients and it's indispensable in our tech stack. We've been using it for 2 years now and the use cases of the tool have grown exponentially along with our userbase.

Pros

  • Segmentation
  • Intuitiveness of the tool
  • Exceptional support

Cons

  • In-app messages needs to allow an option for feedback to create that 2-way loop
  • Seamless onboarding of new clients
  • Improved adoption, awareness and retention
There's a bit of a learning curve with the tool but once you cross that bridge, the tool is highly intuitive. The product fixes, bugs and improvements are made while keeping the end user in mind, so that has been a treat to work with.
Pardot has a clunky, outdated interface and capabilities, making it highly challenging to work with. On the other hand, Customer.io has been the opposite and it's one of the easiest tools to work on in our entire tech stack.

Customer.io has been helping streamline lifecycle communications for our post-sales user base. The scope for in-depth segmentation helps campaign plan optimally. I find it challenging to work with in places where I need data to flow out of Customer.io into other tools in my tech stack.
