Overall Satisfaction with DataMotion

We use DataMoition for inbound CDA acquisition via triggered processes by external EHRs and outbound report sending via Direct email. This occurs via DataMotion's API and native SMTP/POP functionality, although mostly via API.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Fair Price.
  • Good/Functional API.

Cons

  • User interface for reading email is very outdated, albeit functional.
  • Direct Email services are somewhat of a commodity, so nothing else.
  • For our purposes this is commodity service offering, so the ROI would be no less or more than some other provider of the service.
Good and reliable API. Also, traditional SMTP/POP services available.

Ranking at 5 is not a criticism! That is because Direct Email services are a commodity, in my opinion, and if a colleague asked me to recommend DataMotion, I would just say, "They meet the objectives for what we need; see if that applies to you. And shop around for the most competitive price offering; see the DirectTrust alliance for many vendors to consider."
