Overall Satisfaction with DataMotion

We use DataMotion to securely share information and details that are sensitive in nature and that shouldn't go over plain email. These can include text information and/or small data files. This allows us to quickly and conveniently share such information, without having to resort to other cumbersome and less secure means.
  • Convenient and secure email method to transfer sensitive information and small data files.
  • The search feature doesn't work very well - I find myself just scrolling back through emails to find what I'm looking for instead of using the limited search function. For example, I find I have to search the exact Subject title rather than being able to search for words that are partially in the Subject title.
  • We are able to comply to the privacy standards that are relevant to our research data, such as HIPAA. We can quickly share sensitive information and small data files.
It's well integrated with our University's IT and login systems, such that is convenient to register and use.
I think that the only self-service I have had to do would be changing/resetting my password, which went successfully.

DataMotion is well-suited for text communications that are sensitive in nature and for transfer of small data files (each file has to be 100 MB or less).
