We use Datorama for all clients to visually show performance metrics, trends and KPI's on a monthly basis. This is being used across the agency. It allows the client to view these dashboards on an on-going basis which addresses any performance problems or questions they may have that the dashboard can answer.
  • Visuals and graphs are user-friendly and help paint the picture of what we are trying to accomplish when showing to the clients.
  • There are many ways to pull in performance metrics and make each dashboard unique in its own way.
  • Very customizable and easy to share amongst clients and colleagues.
  • Navigating in the interface to update connections and settings is a little confusing.
  • Backend mapping amongst certain API's can be problematic if certain naming conventions are not properly followed.
  • Winning new clients.
  • Saving time on our agency's side to create on-going reports.
I have had the chance to use Tableau and Datorama over the last 4 years. I think that Datorama is much more user friendly and easier to create visualizations compared to Tableau. I also think it is easier to share these dashboards in Datorama compared to the options that Tableau offers.
When you have a new client that is very interested in performance on a daily basis. Datorama allows the client to be able to view the dashboard as a view-only option and help provide them with the insights and performance metrics that they want to see. This makes it easier on the agency's side to provide this data for them without having to re-pull data or re-create reports.
