Overall Satisfaction with Deputy

We use Deputy to manage multi-location teams to record hours and locations worked. We also use Deputy to schedule shifts for self-employed teams where each individual's pay is linked to multiple areas they work at. The exports of timesheets are then used to import monthly payment amounts into a payroll system. The whole process is error-free and it takes minutes to process every month.

  • There is no view that would allow to view more than one location at a time.
  • News feed - no way of reporting on who confirm reading messages.
  • Tasks are very limited and not usable in the current format.
  • Hundreds of man-hours saved monthly that previously was spent on recording hours work.
  • Holiday management is very clear and support fair treatment of staff.
  • The 100% accuracy of timesheets is amazing. Once approved thousands of timesheets just land in our payroll system thanks to the export/import functions.

Deputy's scheduling system delivers all we could ask for from a provider. Our operations changed and improved so much since we installed the system. We are not looking at changing as it works so well with the rest of the systems we use linked to schedules and people management. It is a great tool that is used daily by all staff. One of the benefits that we did not have before Deputy is the fact that all staff is able to communicate with colleagues the moment they accept an invitation to the system.
Good support offered since the start. Trial was helpful and the live chat was handy. It took us a little bit of time to work out the best setup for self-employed staff paid for sessions they run, rather than hours. Once all was put in place, it's worked really well for us as it allowed to use "areas" to automate the application of our complicated pay structure for each person.
Deputy is very good at allowing remote management of teams and the geo-locations of staff shifts, which has been very helpful at times of Covid. Pre and past shift questions are great for capturing some key data relating to daily operations, and Covid questions. It also allowed us to capture staff's confirmation that they are aware of the most recent updates relating to changes in prevention measures around the spread of the virus. We tried to use Deputy to manage daily tasks for staff on duty. This functionality did not work for us and we used a different system for managing these.
