Overall Satisfaction with Discord

Instead of using Teams, Slack or Meets we use Discord in order to make the meeting more relaxing, we have all the same features as in other applications but instead of being tied to Microsoft, Google or a paywall on Slack, we can have Discord to let us do the exact same thing. The UI might be more gamer focused but the use is the same and we can segregate the team the way we want, make different rooms and even make separate rooms and take someone from a meeting there and then comeback to the previous one n

  • It has scripting, that can be useful in some scenarios
It does the job very well and has other bonuses like bots and group management. Instead of having to use a link all the time, the group is there and you can participate. No browser, but you can use one, different devices can be used but you can't be on both at the same time. It has a session kill switch.
The organization of groups and channels are better on Discord than Slack although the later is widely used in the tech circuit while the former is use in the gaming community. Maybe for that fact the online features are better on Discord making it better suited for coding. Not widely used for prejudice by non tech people.

Large groups re easy to handle, you have notably a better integration with other devices, you would be better using it for different time zones, the script and notification will alert the user when the meeting is held in their own time, by mail, push notification or pop-up. It is easy to install in any operating system and has a low learning curve. Better not use with the C-Suit team since they are prone to think Discord might be "Childish".
