Overall Satisfaction with DraftSight

DraftSight is being used by a department. It is our Geo Science department that do both site surveys, chemical analysis, and more. After they do their normal analysis they use DraftSight to do both 2D and 3D drawings for the site survey and reporting that is submitted to customers. We had been using a Corel product prior and DraftSight was comparable and [a] better value.

  • Easy to use for anyone new in the department
DraftSight is virtually comparable to other products like AutoCAD and CorelDraw but the lower cost makes DraftSight a no-brainer to pick over the others. At this point, we just renew year after year versus shopping for other products.
Any place you need a CAD application, DraftSight should be your place to start. If you were trained and used to any classic CAD applications like AutoCAD then DraftSight's interface should look very familiar to you. This means the learning curve is very good since you can sit down and use it right away.
