Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

[In my experience,] critics have warned me many times over the years that Dropbox is a risk to any company. I have resisted their advice, as for me, Dropbox was working very well over many years now. I had my businesses and employees use Dropbox, stored most of our not [sensitive] data on the cloud and all seemed good.

Until my account was suspended and the whole company stopped working. [I feel. this is] my fault: too reliable on Dropbox. So I contacted support. First, I had to search the website until I found a form to fill out. Waited three days - no response. Filled out another form. Waited three days. No response. Wrote on Twitter. A response - but no help. Wrote emails to support. No response. So after more than two weeks [in my experience,] without any support, a disabled business account we started migrating to another service. Lots of work, 50 people had to move their stuff, but [I feel] Dropbox didn't leave us a choice. I have tried now to [change] the [subscriptions]- but even this seems impossible as soon as an account is disabled. So in the end [I feel] this was the worst experience with an online company I ever had. [In my experience, was] 100% ignored but charg[ed] the highest fees on the planet. My [personal] advice now as well: stay away!
  • File storage works
  • [In my experience,] no support available at all after 14 days and several tries via all channels
  • Very expensive in comparison to competitors
  • [I feel it] create[d] a dependency that is hard to dis[s]olve
  • Worked fine for years to speed up doc sharing within the teams
  • Then account was disabled. No support available. Huge costs for us
Same convenience, but more reliable and only 20% of the price

Dropbox is good for private users, to store some pictures or documents. [In my experience,] it is really a liability when using it for businesses. [I personally recommend] don't use it if you rely on this service and don't expect any support from Dropbox.
