Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox
Using Dropbox to save client's files which can be accessed by all associates at the firm. It addresses the accessibility issue, facilitating all associates to open, save and access files in Dropbox from whichever device they use. Dropbox is useful in sharing links to view/edit large files to people outside the organization.
Pros
- Multiple sub-folders
- Sharing links to large files for view/edit/download
- Opening and editing a file within Dropbox
- Accessibility across multiple devices
Cons
- Concerns when two people open the same file; one person makes changes to it and saves it, but the other person who opened the file closes it without making any changes which deletes the progress on the file in my expereince.
- Not being able to install Dropbox desktop application on multiple devices in my experience. So to access on other devices, it must be through the browser
- The browser Dropbox requires downloading the file, making changes and re-uploading it in my experience, which I find to be inconvenient
- Time Saving
- Freedom to use multiple devices
- Inability to retrieve files causing hours of work being lost, in my experience.
