Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

We use it to backup files, share them within the team at our company, as well as send files that are too large for email to customers and vendors. Each job the company completes has estimating and contract information saved, as well as photos of completed projects, warranty information, and job-site files. It is great for organizing and storing information. I have also been using a personal account for many years, and can strongly recommend it for that as well.

  • Simultaneous editing of spreadsheets (like Google Docs has)
  • Cheaper plans better suited to smaller companies
  • Making it clear how to "send" vs "share" files
  • Saved multiple projects from corruption due to power failures
  • Allow staff to access documents remotely during the pandemic

Dropbox is great for storing documents that the team is likely to need infrequent access to. It is much weaker for keeping files on hand that a lot of people will need to edit on a daily basis. You will end up with strange duplicated files.
