Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Dropbox allows me to collaborate with all my coauthors and student researchers. I can bounce between computers and it's seamless. I love being able to look for old versions of files if a mistake happens. My employer provides Microsoft products and won't reimburse for Dropbox type products. I pay out of pocket without hesitation.

Pros

  • Saves old versions of files
  • Allows cloud storage and the ability to select what files live on your hard drive

Cons

  • The ability to edit a document simultaneously with others.
  • Easier ways to reconcile conflicted copies. Like provide me a document noting in red the differences.
  • Increased productivity
The web version is harder to navigate than I'd like. Why not make it look like Apple folders w/ more functionality?
