Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use it to store a lot of research files and documents that we work on each year. This Dropbox is shared among numerous co-workers across the globe so it is easy to share with them. A lot of files need to have a safe and secure place to be stored, which Dropbox provides

Pros

  • Easy format to use
  • Easy to share folders with others
  • App that connects to your computer hard drive

Cons

  • Sync always seems to not "sync" in real time, continuously having to manually sync
  • Have numerous people working on the same document at once
  • Having an account manager to be able to access employees Dropbox ( specifically for receipts on account/expense processes),
  • Account manager access to remove/delete people from Dropbox who no longer work with the employer
  • Simple to share documents with others
  • Sync doesn't always sync- leaving multiple versions of documents needing to be saved
  • its affordable/you get a lot of space
Dropbox is great, but syncing documents doesn't always work unless you use the online version, but sometimes when I change folder names it does not update to other users. It would be great to be able to work on a document at the same time as someone else.
Microsoft one drive, SharePoint, google docs, are all very similar platforms that provide a different level of convenience.

Yes

Dropbox is great for other individuals who have Dropbox, hard to share across other platforms with people who do not pay for Dropbox or have another service they use. It's great for people who work in the same business, but hard for when wanting to share files across the globe.
