Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use Dropbox to store all my documents and access them from every part of the world in all my devices or guest devices. It is also useful to send, transfer, and edit collaborative documents with team members and keep up-to-date versions at all times. I have been using Dropbox for more than 5 years now and I would recommend other small businesses to do it. It is a reliable, easy to use and safe place for managing and moving files.

Pros

  • Keep all files available at all times
  • Easy share files and folders with other people using or not using Dropbox
  • Great amount of space to keep work and personal files and photos.

Cons

  • I have been experiencing issues when backing up my accounting software in Dropbox as it keeps adding new folders and I haven't had the time to look into this to fix it
  • I feel that the annual fee I pay, is completely according to the service I get
  • I haven't compare other platforms to see if it is fair or equivalent, and it is part of my operation costs.
If I didn't feel that Dropbox was a reliable, trustworthy, and secure tool, I would not use it year after year. The number of years I have used it is testament that I am happy with the service and that I am not looking for another option. That being said, Dropbox must keep up with the other offers available as those other options can be attractive based on ROI, service and cost.

It is available online and offline when you don't have wifi access. It keeps files organized. It is easy to find documents among the files. Great storage capacity. Easy to share files and folders with people that have Dropbox or don't have an account. Easy to give edit rights to other collaborators
