Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

I use it daily with my work. I am a photographer and graphic designer and I use it to deliver my photography and designs to clients. I also use it to store my backup catalog for photographs. It is crucial to my day to day work, but I have recently find some other way more affordable software, that I might switch too, as honestly - the subscription is overly expensive. I will probably switch in a month or two, as my photography catalog is pretty big.

Pros

  • Sharing with links
  • Sending files
  • History

Cons

  • Too expensive for young professionals
  • Competitors offer better value
  • AI search
  • It's easy to use
  • Links are handy to send around to clients
  • Synching across devices is amazing
It's a great tool, but to expensive. I wish the company did not have such a capitalistic rating of success with year over year growth as a metric of success, but that is a capitalism problem not only Dropbox. Hence this, I will be moving away from Dropbox soon.
I do think Dropbox has a few things like simplicity going for it, but still it comes at a premium price, which is not worth it in the end.

Do you think Dropbox delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Dropbox's feature set?

Yes

Did Dropbox live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of Dropbox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Dropbox again?

No

It's great for sharing files, reversing to previous versions of files, working across multiple devices, but is way to expensive, and i think competitors are starting to look a lot more appealing - that's why I will be moving away from Dropbox. It's just to expensive for what it offers.

Using Dropbox

1 - Owner of the company.
2 - Managing, backing up and sharing a large volume of digital files.
  • To be completely hones, nothing innovative at Dropbox really
  • History is great
  • Links to share are great as well
  • I think I will cancel my subscription, but some AI search would be great, and some other advance features would be great
To expensive of a subscription for me.
