Overall Satisfaction with Dropbox

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to back up all my work files, and a few home files. I especially like that it backs up my files in the background and that I can get to all my files from my computer, my ipad, my phone, or via Dropbox login on a browser from any computer.

Pros

backs up files
access from other computers
reverts to earlier versions if needed

Cons

seeing earlier versions could be easier
earlier versions can only be accessed (that I know of) through web interface
otherwise, I think it's really easy to use

Return on Investment

I consider it worthwhile enough to pay out of pocket for it even though my work gives me free access to OneDrive

Usability

Most of the time, I don't even realize it's running. But it syncs my files across devices and backs up my files.

Alternatives Considered

I prefer Dropbox to both Google Drive and OneDrive.

Likelihood to Recommend

I prefer it to both Google Drive and OneDrive, which is what our work prefers us to use. I have easily taken my files with me across numerous universities. I'd rather pay to use increased Dropbox storage than use either of the previous two comparable products mentioned above.
