Overall Satisfaction with Druva Cloud Platform

We use it for all user desktop and laptop systems. Primarily as a backup method so that any user, be they on our internal network or on travel, can ensure their information is safely stored. We were also using inSync to share folders as a Dropbox-like tool. However, since support for it is ending, some groups are asking we inquire about other options.

Pros

  • Integration with our SSO tools.
  • Bandwidth and CPU controls, allowing adjustments based on a user to user basis.
  • Able to set hard limits on type of content backed up.

Cons

  • The loss of the inSync Share folder is a big issue for many.
  • Better integration with Kerberos technology.
  • Better macOS support.
  • Ease of use when backing up data during the pandemic.
  • Ease of restoring data to new systems or loaner systems for travel.
  • User controls to further adjust each backup experience.
Currently, evaluating Office 365 and OneDrive.

Would you buy Druva Data Resiliency Cloud again?

Yes

Users that are on travel have a fairly easy experience backing up and accessing files. They can reach the web interface if their system has any issues (to access a PowerPoint, for example, if their main system has issues) and if they are remote users in general we can ship them a system they can self restore data to.
