Overall Satisfaction with Edmodo
I have used Edmodo both as an educator and as a student at the graduate level. It has been used at my school as an alternative classroom platform, allowing teachers some versatility. It is a platform suitable for sharing content and calendars. It allows students and teachers to be in touch in a more informal manner.
- Has great Google integration, allowing the teacher to share files with students easily.
- Has user created lesson plan sharing and integration, making education more open and accessible.
- Edmodo helps keep everything in one central location for classrooms.
- Edmodo's user interface can be a bit overwhelming and crowded.
- Edmodo can be difficult to navigate.
- It is difficult to customize, the platform is not very intuitive in this regard.
- Edmodo has provided another option in the world of classroom platforms.
- Edmodo has allowed faculty to share information with students in a more personal and creative way.

I think that Edmodo is a good choice for younger kids, as well as for teachers with many students. It has a lot of fun features and ways to take the temperature of the classroom in a quick informal manner. It has good integration with popular services, better than Canvas has historically been. It is a lot more cluttered though, so less visually appealing than Google Classroom, though it has more native grading services.
