Overall Satisfaction with Emarsys
We use Emarsys for marketing automation purposes - from the newsletter signup flow (including DOI), regular newsletters, ad-hoc mailings to the more specialised, event-driven email flows such as post-purchase, abandoned-cart, product-update (price drops, wishlist updates, stock updates) - almost everything is sent via Emarsys. The only exception to this rule are our transactional emails which we chose to keep in our shop system.

- Some features are behind paywalls where the payoff doesn't seem quite clear
- Support can be tricky when using somewhat old features (e.g. onsite product recommendations)
- Newsletter capabilities definitely enable our revenue scaling capabilities
- Ease of use and preconfigured automation programmes allow smaller teams to also set up a wider net of email automations
Emarsys offered a way more flexible and modern user interface. Furthermore, the management of email campaigns seemed smoother, and simpler - which is essential concerning our rather small team size. Integration of automation programs using our product catalog was also crucial, and the product recommendations were also an important factor.
