Overall Satisfaction with Exclaimer

Our entire organization uses Exclaimer Signature Manager. We have multiple templates set up, about 10, for each classification of employee. Every user get their own signature loaded automatically on reboot and then secretaries here get their boss's signatures loaded to use with on-behalf-of rights in Microsoft Exchange and Outlook. Everything is automated for the users.
  • Everything is automated for the users, so the signatures are always on the emails and are consistent across our organization.
  • Templates are easy to make and apply.
  • The integration with Exchange & Outlook is easy.
  • While the templates are easy enough to design, we have a similar template for each classification of employee (e.g. manager, secretary...) and it would be nice if there were a master template so that if you edited something basic it would automatically apply to all the sub-templates based on that master. Instead, you have to edit every template individually.
  • Using Exclaimer on Citrix worked well until we upgraded to XenApp 7.6. There are issues with the signature synch manager not always running - thus not updating or loading the signatures on this version of Citrix. We have worked with Exclaimer support, but they state it's a Citrix issue. This issue is still unresolved for us.
  • Consistent branding from all employees.
  • Memorable signature aids not only in marketing, but also in helping us keep a better watch out for phishing emails.
  • Users don't have to load their signatures themselves, so we don't find things missing on the signatures.
I think Exclaimer's Signature Manager works well anywhere where you want to make your organization's signatures uniform. It helps with branding your company. It presents a professional image. Consistency is the key to being remembered. Exclaimer makes all of that automatic. I would simply caution each organization to try to limit the number of templates you create to 10 or less. Otherwise editing and maintaining consistency across the board becomes a problem.

Exclaimer Support

They know their own product really well and can help with that, but integration issues are a glaring missing element in their support training or knowledge base. Basic installation, template creation and edits are fully supported by capable folks. We often to open an email ticket, then schedule a phone call in a day or two for support assistance, but we've never had an "emergency" signature issue, so that hasn't been a big deal to us.

During our installation, we discovered we needed to create multiple templates. We had never considered that before. Their support staff helped us quickly determine the best way to do this and it was easy to get help. Everything went according to plan. The templates worked great for all the users and roll-out was on time.
