interface was more stable and no end client required. Also, completely cloud-based, so no local servers needed. Google is a stable platform and has to notch security. SO spam management is automated. no granular filtering required.

Evaluating Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) and Competitors
Yes - exchange email server
exchange recommended the use of end clients and they kept failing. we went with a clientless email solution that was easy for end-users to use and manage at an affordable cost without the need for onsite resources.
we didn't realize how many people didn't use Gmail and under-estimated the need for training.
