Reseller
I use it on a daily basis for myself and my business, I also use it for my family and resell it to clients. It is primarily used as a secure business email solution and cloud storage. I find it preferable and more secure than Office 365, and easier to manage.
  • secure email
  • domain alignment
  • anti-spam
  • cloud storage
  • customer support (terrible)
  • Partner support (realy really terrible)
  • downloading mail from external sources
I used to love it back when it was google apps and gsuite, except for the partner support (PPS) which has always been absolutely diabolical and incompetent. PPS cannot be contacted by phone at all, only ticket, and it takes them weeks or months to reply to every email. It is the worst support I have ever experienced in my opinion. The tech support used to be good, but now that has gone downhill as well. They have obviously outsourced that to ..., and the support are now completely incompetent (I feel) as a result and have no idea how Google Workspace even works. This is now the case for all Google services it seems. When you contact support, you don't expect to end up providing support to them and having to explain to them how their own product works, but that is exactly what I end up doing because they are so useless. As is typical for outsourced support, you usually get nonsense replies and have to repeat the issue 10 times and tell them to read the email properly over and over again before you get any reply that is actually related to your question.
  • good support (sadly)
  • reliable
  • security
  • terrible support, wastes so much time
  • don't have to use other 3rd party solutions for filtering and security, as you do with O365
I find Workspace easier to use and manage, better security, and the gmail interface and features is way better. Plus 3rd party integrations. Support sucks though from my experience. Most other email solutions do not enforce authentication and domain alignment or have MFA, which is a big issue. Nowadays with so much hacking, 2fa is really important.

I use it for both personal and business. I run several businesses through google apps, mostly for email.
I provide email, office and google drive to my family.
For my own doamin its just me, for my MSP business I have a team of support techs.

Google Workspace is our primary calendar, email, and network sharing file repository for my company. We use the G chat, email groups, and SMTp services.
  • Email
  • Mobile security
  • Group email
  • Domain manegement
  • Domain level access to company emails
  • Domain level access to email forwarding and auto reply
  • Domain level management of email archiving during employee separation
Google Workspace is great for setting up new users and deploying apps to a domain or group. However, the managers cannot review or manage individual user's emails or setup mass auto-responses for users or mass management of signatures.
  • Stable uptime of communications with customers and vendors
  • Ease of use for end users and it team
  • Scalable to the needs of the company
  • No company infrastructure needed to support services outside of internet
  • Scalable.
  • Clear and simple billing.
  • Low barrier to entry, and little training needed.
interface was more stable and no end client required. Also, completely cloud-based, so no local servers needed. Google is a stable platform and has to notch security. SO spam management is automated. no granular filtering required.

two ITTechs.
  • user manage their own auto response
  • user manages their own signatures
  • users manage their own email segrgation and storage
  • google groups are crucial for departments
  • google drive is great for dept file shared with team drives
  • large bandwidth for attachment is amazing.
  • using google drive exclusively
  • develop a better schedule for offboarding
  • use team drive for valued files.
its stable and works.
Yes
exchange email server
exchange recommended the use of end clients and they kept failing. we went with a clientless email solution that was easy for end-users to use and manage at an affordable cost without the need for onsite resources.
we didn't realize how many people didn't use Gmail and under-estimated the need for training.
Getting help is not easy for users.

We use Google Workspace as full suite solution for our needs including email, authentication to an in-house database, creating documents, spreadsheets, slide presentations for talks, etc. We make use of Google Drive to share files between workers and to communicate with our Board of Trustees. Google Workspace is at the heart of our inter-office communications.

Google Workspace is well suited for helping to organize a small business. I primarily implemented this as our office communications platform because of GMail. Being able to easily create accounts for staff and assign aliases makes transitions easy to manage. When the bookkeeper changes I just change the alias from the old bookkeeper to the new one and all of the emails that need to get to the bookkeeper now get delivered. Sharing documents and working collaboratively is also made easy with Google Drive.
  • Improved efficiency.
  • Improved collaboration.
  • Improved communications.
  • Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365)
Google offers a free version of Google Workspace for non-profits. So the price was pretty hard to beat. Of cloud based office communications platforms, Google offers a robust variety of tools. I find that I can trust the reliability of Google and did not have to worry about too much additional training for my users since they were already familiar with GMail.

Yes
I replaced Microsoft Office 365 with Google Workspace. I replaced them to save money but also because I found the email service to be better to work with. In particular, I like the shortcuts in GMail that allow me to quickly process incoming email, label them and reply. Google Drive was also a good replacement for OneDrive.

Price was one of the most important factors. Google is generous with non-profits so we were able to save a significant amount of money by switching to a free product rather than paying subscriptions for each of our employees. I had previous experience working with Google Workplace that made supporting the staff easier.
I really would not change anything. My experience of migrating to Google Workplace went smoothly. The company was able to save money and now has an effective tool for communications, sharing documents, and working more collaboratively. The workflow for our staff was greatly streamlined. Focusing on efficiency would be my recommendation.
My experiences of getting support have been positive. Calling in is not overly difficult, but it does require getting a PIN. The knowledge of those responding to the calls has been impressive. I have managed to work with them to fix two Google bugs that I had identified. These bugs required a some technical expertise and the support staff were able to understand the issue and forward the concerns to the appropriate persons. The first bug was fixed with 24 hours. The second bug took a little longer, but it was also more complicated to reproduce.
No, I did not purchase premium support; however, as a non-profit we enjoy some pretty good support and functionality at no cost. Google is most generous when it comes to supporting non-profits. Support is rarely needed; however, when I have called it has almost always been a positive experience with a quick resolution.
Yes
Yes, as mentioned, I managed to find two bugs since using Google Workspace. Both issues were dealt with quickly. It helped that I had enough experience in reporting bugs because of my experience working in the open source community. In one case, I knew how to fix the error. In the other I had an idea of what was happening but relied on the experts to deal with what appeared to be a caching issue.
I was migrating email from another email provider and Google Support was able to give me some options for how I could migrate the existing emails into the Google emails. This made the migration a much better experience for the users as they had access to previous emails. I was delightfully surprised by how easy the migration ended up being as I was anticipating it being a painful process, but it turned out to be relatively painless.
