Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As an educator, Google Forms is used for a variety of functions. Google Forms can be a quiz, a faculty or student poll, an online ballot for club elections, or a survey for a research project. In high school, faculty and students use Google Forms for all of these and more. It is an easy way to manage data and is used often in my district.

Pros and Cons

A quick online quiz to test student knowledge
An online ballot to vote for officer positions in Student Government or a club
A survey to collect data for a research project
A poll to vote for Spirit Days or other community activities

I wish there were more options for layout to be able to change the setup.
I would like to be able to add graphics and other media...expand the questions a little more.

Return on Investment

Google Forms has made quizzing easier especially with the option to grade multiple choice.
Google Forms is an excellent way to run elections at your school. With one response per student, it's easy to gather votes and automatically generate a winner.
Google Forms is also an excellent way for students to collect data for a research project.

Alternatives Considered

I don't think there is another product I would use over Google Forms.

Likelihood to Recommend

In education, Google Forms can be used for a variety of situations. Teachers and staff use Google Forms for online quizzes, staff or student polls, and even as a ballot for elections for Student Government or other club officers. Students can use Google Forms for surveys to collect data for a research project or to collect data for student interest in Spirit Days or other community activities. The only drawback is that Google Forms is a bit flat and doesn't allow much change in the layout or the ability to add any other media. Overall, though, our school district uses Google Forms quite often.
