Overall Satisfaction with Google My Business

We use Google My Business to enhance the appearance of our organization in search results. We've also found that a good Google My Business leads to a higher search placement for location-based searches. We are using it across the whole organization which does lead to some complications but we have not created new listings for different departments.

  • Offers consistent information in an easy to use interface
  • Includes options for photos
  • Irrelevant options can't be hidden
  • Large organizations cannot be broken down into individual areas
  • Link to website or next step is not as prominent as it could be
  • Lead to a slight increase in organic traffic
  • Makes organization seem more legitimate
  • Increased page ranking for location-based searches (best college near me, etc.)

Google My Business is a necessity for anyone with a website who wants to improve their ranking in Google search or attract more organic web traffic. There are limitations and frustrating factors but there really is not a good alternative to their product. Google My Business is a key piece to marketing strategy but works best in unison with other search-based strategies, especially for businesses [that] are not in e-commerce.
