Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I teach in Denver and many students are out of state. GoToMeeting helps connect in a very effective manner with anyone, anytime. It's accessible from many different platforms which is incredibly helpful when making sure our students are all on the same page and expectations are clearly communicated at all times.

Pros and Cons

The ability to share screens seamlessly
Being able to hand off presenter responsibilities

The user experience changes depending on device
Would love to see a more consistent look

Honestly, there are a lot of other options. You just need to find the one that works for you.

Alternatives Considered

Zoom

Pricing and familiarity where a big part of the decision, although sometimes I feel there is easier integration between Outlook and Zoom then there is between Outlook and GoToMeeting. Of course, it could very well be a user issue on my end, but I feel Outlook and Zoom play together a little better.

Likelihood to Recommend

GoToMeeting gives users the ability to bring people together from anywhere into a single environment. By being able to screen share and pass off presenter responsibilities, it has the potential to be very interactive and productive. Sometimes, more productive than actually being in the same room at the same time.
