Overall Satisfaction with GoToMeeting
We use GoToMeeting for our webinar needs. It allows a large number of people in any variety of locations to meet up in a virtual space. It allows you to hold something akin to a conference-room presentation or a college lecture with a wide audience. The product is used in our office and by several organizations that we work with and other departs across our organization. It does a good job of connecting people in a way that they can get the information they came for, while also allowing them to participate in the meeting. GoToMeeting also offers what I would call video conferencing. I used this feature briefly on a project that I was coordinating with a small group of individuals in which we were all in different geographic regions. In the end, we used Google Hangouts for that purpose.
- Webinars are a breeze with GoToMeeting.
- The video conferencing is capable and intuitive.
- I prefer to use the desktop version over the mobile version.
- It can be costly compared to other options.
- We don't use it in a sales capacity, but I could imagine it would be great for sales teams.
- It makes it very easy to connect to people and that has its own value.
- Google Hangouts, Skype and Zoom
GoToMeeting has a lot of features, which makes it the product to purchase if you're looking for a single simple meeting solution. It does screen sharing well, it does video well, the audio is clear, audiences can participate in a number of ways. In regards to full-feature meetings software, I think GoToMeeting surpasses the competition. Skype is nice for video calls, but when you get large numbers of people it's too costly and onerous. Zoom is probably the product that I consider to be the most similar. If I had started using it first maybe I would be recommending it, but I like the UI of GoToMeeting better (that might be my familiarity talking). Jabber has some of the messaging features and call capabilities but doesn't do screen sharing nearly as well. It's also not suited for as wide an audience. Google Meet or Hangouts I prefer for smaller group meetings and projects, and the video is great, but I wouldn't use it for conferencing or a webinar.
