Overall Satisfaction with HeyOrca

HeyOrca is used company-wide to manage social media content for several of our clients. We've integrated it into our creative and internal review process. It makes it easier to view the content/days/platforms all in one place. It also allows a single location for designers to put finished content, copywriters to write to imagery, and comments for feedback. From there we create a shareable link and send it to the client where they can approve, comment, or reject posts all in one place. It's really streamlined our process internally and externally while allowing us to narrow down to one program for everyone.
  • Provides client friendly view that allows clients to easily see what content will look like on their social platforms.
  • Provides a one-stop option for multiple client and platform content to live.
  • Great customer service and extremely responsive help center.
  • Easy to use and learn interface.
  • Needs more integration of other features in social media. I.e. stories for Instagram, grid view of the profile, multi-image posting on Facebook.
  • Having a history would be nice so you could see revisions in copy/imagery.
Accounts, design, copywriting, management, not counting all the client-side users.
  • I'm not sure what the measured ROI would be but there is surely an amount of money saved in streamlining our process just from hours spent alone. It also has improved our ease of use and communication with our clients.
While other programs have their benefits, the client approval process for Hey Orca is great and the program is easier to use and more closely resembles how work will look when published on a platform.
If you are an agency or brand that manages multiple brands/accounts this would be a great option. It really does well for planning content in advance and if you work with a larger team.

If you only have single channels of social media or don't manage multiple brands it may not be worth the money.

Using HeyOrca

4 - Hey Orca is a really easy to use tool. The support that we need is just to train other members of our team how to use it and have the ability to answer questions from our clients if they have any issues. The creative team who works on social media accounts know how to use it and the account executives are pretty well versed in it.

  • High level analytics
  • comprehensive campaign planning using events.
We decided today that we were renewing our use.

Evaluating HeyOrca and Competitors

Yes - Hootsuite. We were previously using hootsuite but due to it's pricing structure, this platform gave us more freedom to offer more services to our clients for the same cost of subscription. Additionally, hootsuite wasn't as intuitive and didn't offer the same features for client presentation.
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Prior Experience with the Product
I had a prior positive experience with Hey Orca that lead to me suggesting my new team adopt it to help the overall workflow of projects.
If I had the opportunity, I would have loved to compare it to sprout social strictly for the analytics aspect. I know that sprout offers in depth analytics but we didn't previously have an account with them so I wasn't sure how the structure of social planning worked with them as well.

Using HeyOrca

Hey Orca has a lot of really great features, they make the workflow really easy and are extremely available for help with questions. I think there are some minor workflow issues that it could overcome and features it could add on that are available in other apps. It definitely doesn't offer the best analytics and also hasn't offered single image direct publishing like hootsuite does. Yet, it's benefits outweigh those minor inconveniences for our team.

Yes - The mobile interface is just used for publishing content. This works well for me. I don't have the need to be able to do anything else on mobile.
