Overall Satisfaction with HID DigitalPersona (formerly Crossmatch)
We use HID DigitalPersona for fingerprint enrollment at our organization, it's only being [used] by our department to ensure there is another layer of security. These fingerprint readers are great, being incredibly accurate, solidly built, and including a good 6 ft or more USB cable.

- Do not buy this unless you know what you are doing
- Basic, no frills, fingerprint reader

Does not work without drivers. Unless you have an established system that has drivers or paid support, you will not be able to use this. We have installed a few of these at customer sites and all of them have performed flawlessly. The only hangup we've experienced is when the scanner is power-starved. We had a scanner plugged into a non-powered USB hub, along with a keyboard, mouse, bar code scanner, and thumb drive. The unit would occasionally 'fall asleep', for lack of a better term. Plugging the scanner directly into a port on the computer solved the problem.
Yes, this product provides full Microsoft Active Directory integration! Yes, our organization benefited since Active Directory is the system of records for users, workstations, and security groups.
We use Windows authentication for certain users that belong to a specific security group that has some restricted access permission.
We don't have Azure AD.

- Easy to install and helps secure tracking of employees' use of the POS system, timekeeping, and voids. Great investment.
- Worked perfectly with Postalmate software right out of the box.
Needs to have custom software developed to use this product. Not good for the average user.
