Overall Satisfaction with HireVue

We use HireVue for hiring decisions across the board touching all departments, both part-time and full-time roles. It helps decision makers with the first step of the interviewing process, getting to know a little about candidate so they can decide whether they would be a good fit for the role. Good indicator of communication and sales skills.

Pros

  • Provides communication and social skills
  • Provides background and experience of candidate
  • How comfortable they are trying this new platform

Cons

  • Sometimes makes candidates very nervous and mess up causing them not to be selected by manager
  • Candidates sometimes don't follow through with completing interview because it is a new platform for them, causing them not to be in pipeline
  • Buffering often occurs on either candidate or our end, making it frustrating to get through the interview
  • Definitely faster turnaround time of managers reviewing and pulling trigger to onboard candidates
  • Better quality of candidates being sent to managers for review
  • Overall more dependability in workforce, taking the extra step to make a good first impression
have not used anything but HireVue
We hire remote around the country making it impossible for our managers to do a face to face interview and this is a great solution.
Probably less appropriate for full time exectutive roles.
