Overall Satisfaction with Hootsuite

We used Hootsuite mostly for their scheduling and reporting tools for an internal department at New York University. The department mostly published on Instagram and Facebook, with an occasional Twitter update. As most people collaborating to create social media content have dual roles at the organization. Hootsuite allowed us to bulk upload content and evaluate performance on a month-over-month and year-over-year basis.
  • Scheduling for multiple platforms
  • "Stop all posts" crisis management button
  • Ease of linking accounts
  • Bulk upload is slow and glitchy
  • Integrations with Canva leaves much to be desired
  • Ability to better track KPIs
  • Automating content publishing
  • Time saving
The support team seems to be slow and mostly trying to redirect to the knowledge base/blog posts even after being told we have already searched there for the inquiry submitted.

Do you think Hootsuite delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Hootsuite's feature set?

No

Did Hootsuite live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Hootsuite go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Hootsuite again?

No

Hootsuite is well suited for companies that need to automate their scheduling and reporting on social media and are getting started in streamlining their operations. It is simple enough to get people used to social media reporting and scheduling, and intuitive enough to help streamline processes. They have a good knowledge base where users can get better get acquainted with the tool's features.
