Overall Satisfaction with IBM Cognos Analytics

In our organization we use IBM Cognos Analytics for developing and creating the automated dashboard and reports. These are used eliminate the manual reporting and simplify the data analytics. It assisted us to track and perfomance and support on decision making.

  • Some time dashboards are slow
  • Reports generations takes much time when we provide large data
  • Role based access help to provide access to right users to validate confidential data
  • Report scheduling and automation reduced manual intervention
  • Dashboard provided complete visibility about important details
The best feature of IBM Cognos is report automation which reduces manual intervention. The dashboard is simple to use, users can make different visualization. Role based access provide to right people can see important data.
Before IBM Cognos Analytics we were performing all reports manually, which utilized most of our time lot. Now we can automate many reports and schedule it to send automatically.
Compared to other tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Google studio, IBM Cognos Analytics is better for the companies who looks strong control on detailed reports. Power BI and Tableau are easy to use and good for quick presentation, but Cognos has more options for security, such as role based access which is important for us

It suited for us when performing compliance and Audit reporting. Additionally, our finance team utilizing for detailed financial summary and budget planning.
