Overall Satisfaction with Indeed Resume

It is used intermittently throughout the organization. It is used during recruitment and fulfillment and is sometimes recommended by hiring managers. I have supported others who use this service, have used it myself, and have witnessed others use and recommend it. It facilitates hiring when postings are on the indeed platform.
  • Link to job postings
  • Searchable
  • Search for like terms
  • Only in the indeed universe.
  • Formatting options limited.
  • Export options limited.
  • Fonts, formatting not as extensive as Microsoft or Apple documents.
  • Some managers reported decreased time spent searching for applicants.
  • This is another site to check for applications.
  • If you want to make it work for you, it can: decrease time to hire, increase candidate responsiveness, but you are missing out on a large section of applicants, thus decreasing your applicant quantity and quality.
It was selected for me. I find it stacks up well just because Indeed is a commonly used resource for employers and job seekers. Its functionality leaves a lot to be desired, it does not have features that an ordinary word processor might. It is a useful tool if you advertise exclusively on Indeed, otherwise, it has its limitations.

Lots of features that an ordinary word document or spreadsheet has, Indeed Resume does not have [in my opinion]. Because of this I'm not able to personalize as much as I'd like. This is a severe drawback, as I can still upload my personalized formats and resumes, as long as I work outside the Indeed Resume system, thus making it an unnecessary feature that only applies to one universe of products/services.
I'd say not at all. Again, if you'd like to ONLY use Indeed, this tool may be useful. I've found my organization relies on multiple avenues of advertising jobs, thus "creating shortlists of candidates" is useful on the Indeed platform, but it does not extend to other job posting sites. If you chose to ONLY use Indeed, this could increase your recruitment process efficiently and effectively, but if you advertise more than just on Indeed, this is just another step you have to take, thus slowing down the overall process.
It is well suited for jobs on Indeed. Obviously, this covers a lot of jobs and job seekers, but is by no means complete. For jobs posted OUTSIDE of Indeed, this is not a useful tool [I feel]. For jobs posted inside Indeed, it is useful, but only to an extent. I do not find it any better than creating your own resume (which includes a larger selection of fonts and formatting) and uploading it to Indeed, making it searchable, etc. If you are completely inside the Indeed Jobs portal, this may be a fine tool, for any job seekers or employers, if you advertise outside of Indeed, it has its limitations.
