Overall Satisfaction with InEight

I have used InEight as an estimating consultant for the Heavy Civil & Infrastructure Industry for many years. I have developed 36 Master Estimates in InEight Format including 70,000 items & activities, 500 labor rates, 1,700 equipment rates & 7,000 material rates. The InEight Master Estimates cover Highways, Bridges, Tunnels, Sewer & Water, Paving, Light Rail Track & Transmission Lines. InEight allows users to copy & paste any of the detailed assemblies into their active estimate.

Pros

  • Copy Cost Assemblies
  • Create Multilevel Breakdowns
  • Update Resource Rates

Cons

  • Replacing Resource Rates from one estimate to the next
  • Preset reports are not great
  • User interface is too busy
  • Estimating Consultant-not applicable
