Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Insightly is used across our entire organization. We use it for CRM, Lead Management, and Project Management.
  • We love the activity sets, which allow the easy addition of common sets of tasks to projects.
  • Pipelines with milestones are useful in keeping our projects on schedule.
  • Easy conversion of Opportunities to Projects is one of the primary reasons we chose and continue to use Insightly. All the parts work together seamlessly, unlike other programs we looked at where you had to start over and do data entry at each stage.
  • I can't think of any "missing" features off the top of my head. Insightly adds new features regularly. I would have said lead management (less qualified than an opportunity), but they just added that.
  • I appreciate the low cost, so if adding extra features increases that, then I'm good! Email campaign and landing pages could be an option.
  • Using Insightly reduced my lead conversion time from 6 months to 3 on average.
  • It's motivating to see how much the open opportunities are worth.
  • Reports help with predicting sales cycles and forecasting.
  • Basecamp,Zoho,Salesforce
Basecamp and Salesforce were expensive when compared with Insightly, for the same quality. Zoho was frustrating to use because the pieces don't communicate with each other, which is just stupid. Insightly is both cost effective and practical - so WIN.
Insightly is especially well suited to very small businesses or businesses where cost is consideration, but as it grows with your organization it seems great for medium sized businesses, as well. I cannot speak to its effectiveness at the enterprise or large business level.

Evaluating Insightly and Competitors

Yes - Zoho; it didn't work for what I wanted. We used several modules and individualy, they worked as advertised, but the modules didn't work together. We had to input data already in the CRM to lead management and then again into a project. It was time consuming and frustrating. We wanted one product that worked seamlessly from beginning to end, where the CRM, lead management, and project management communicate to and work with each other.
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
Usability was number one and price was the number two motivation. We wanted a full featured product, but had a limited budget. Insightly was head and shoulders above any other product at its price point. Once we were using it, the price matters much less, since its so ingrained in our organization at this point.
I think our process was good. We researched, read reviews, and ran trials on our top picks to narrow down our choices. We didn't waste any time and we got the result that we wanted.
