Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

Insightly is being used as a single user solution for a cost effective (free) CRM. It is used to track sales and marketing activity including follow-up items, contact maintenance, company employee relationships and potential deals.

Pros

  • Insightly is user friendly, easy to navigate and customizable. It tracks specific bits of information. It is my daily "to do" for follow-up on customer contact and historical conversations or information recording.
  • The Insightly mobile app is fully functional and gives me the ability to have all of my information the with me while I am on the road trying to meet with clients and present solutions for employee wellness programs for companies. The mobile app is fast easy to use. A great supplement to the on-line version while you are on-the-go.

Cons

  • For some reason, flipping between "tasks"and "about" AFTER adding to and saving in the background field does not work. It requires an extra step of hitting the refresh button then, you can flip between the functions.
  • I would like the storage of e-mail within a client record to be easier but since I use a corporate e-mail system there must be some hurdles to get over.
My mission is to make my business as efficient as possible. This includes the management of client/customer information and sales opportunities. Efficiency leads to time management which allows me to focus on those tasks that are the most critical to my business success and my customers' satisfaction. Insightly is a great tool for helping with the efficiency of managing, controlling, and organizing customer data towards business success.
I have used Salesforce. I find Insightly more comfortable and less confusing than Salesforce. It seems more intuitive. I also read an article that rated several CRM's and Insightly was one, if not the highest rated. The reviews were positive and I checked out a few competitors but landed on Insightly. Partly because of its somewhat non-businessy attitude.
For a small business or start-up environment Insightly shines. It is free, easy, upgradable, buildable, and easy to use. I have found the tutorials easy to follow and that has helped my get the most out of the software. The free version is well supported and I was surprised to get follow-up from Insightly as a free user soon after I downloaded the application and started using it.
