Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

We use Insightly CRM and Marketing module to streamline our sales and marketing processes and centralize all BD-related information in the same system. I'm part of the marketing group, and I use Insightly to build landing pages, generate lists, develop templates, send emails, etc. We are in the clinical research industry.

  • Helps with marketing and sales alignment.
Some items are not easily accessible as an admin, and the number of available resources is outdated (video from 2017). For basic tasks such as updating prospects or contacts, it is fine. However, when you change the screen size, the system becomes less responsive, with tables often being difficult to read.
Our industry is very niche, and we were able to customize certain aspects of Insightly to meet our specific needs. There are some limitations in place related to conference management; for instance, we had to find workarounds to track interactions with people during the tradeshow. The phone app is not easy to work with, so we are managing leads separately and then importing them into the system, which defeats the purpose of a CRM.

Insightly is very good for small-sized companies. We were very happy when we started with the system, but as our company grew, Insightly didn't evolve as much. We had some hiccups with journeys (you can't modify your journey once it is started). The landing page builder is not as modern as some other platforms. When you want to analyze your data, it is not easy to cross-reference if your data is coming from different objects (ex, linked reports). There are no AI components yet. The support is also very slow. Overall, the system is decent, but not mind-blowing.
