Overall Satisfaction with InVision Freehand

We use InVision Freehand to showcase all of our designs for a single project, from social to email to web and any other iterations a project may require. As designers, we realize we can visualize things pretty easily. Getting others who are not as visual as us to see all of the different components and where they are supposed to live and go is a big deal in getting everyone to sign off on a project. With InVision Freehand, we can cleanly provide the vision of a particular project, get comments, make changes and go back to historically as required. InVision Freehand allows for clean work areas, comments, and even animations and doc drops right on the boards.
  • Provides a clean work space for many users to collaborate and share.
  • Provides interconnectivity to other apps like Asana and Google docs.
  • Is very user-friendly and easy to figure out just on ones own.
  • It is the easiest program I have used for presentations to leaders.
  • InVision Freehand would be even better if there was a way to create linked assets so when there is a change they update automatically.
  • Some of the app interconnection is buggy. I would love to see that worked out.
  • I would love if Asana and InVision Freehand had a better linkage between comments being made and tasks being created in Asana to complete, so nothing gets overlooked.
  • A broad clean space to gather ideas, finalize concepts and make them accessible to global partners if need be.
  • To organize a project. We had a 40-day project that had hundreds of assets; we were able to organize them all by day to see the entire body of work. I don't know how we would have done that without InVision Freehand.
  • I think the app interconnectivity is a big one. I can place a google doc in my project and look back on it as it changes or grows.
  • I think being able to make templates is also huge. So I am not creating something from scratch each time, but there is a standard we can all be using together.
  • Positives all around. Everyone is able to see and collaborate.
  • Granting access is sometimes a pain. Sending the link does not always work, and I get emails as people try to access boards.
  • No negatives really, I love learning all of the different ways it can be used.
I used to build everything out in Adobe Ai, if you can believe it. Ha! It was very challenging to share and update, but it did provide a large canvas to work on. Sometimes it would get so large it couldn't be opened anymore, and the document would fail. It was pretty crappy and didn't allow for comments and further changes to be done by others viewing the document.

Meetings are truly easier when everything is built out in InVision Freehand. I am able to walk others through a project and all of its different pieces, and they can see how they all interact with each other and possibly where there is a need for improvement, where innovation is taking place, and strategy is being emphasized. It is clean, easy to use, and navigate, and everyone responds to it very positively. When I am not leading a meeting, people can access it on their own, make comments, provide insight, and discuss takes place afterward.
