Overall Satisfaction with ISL Light

For several years now, we have several use cases for remote controlling software but the main objective with ISL Light was to centralize the management with permission controls to reach various clients in an effort to achieve higher grade security while at the same time provide a service to the organization that translates into ease of use. We have production employees relying on remote control to reach production systems, we have superusers needing to provide support to mobile devices in warehouses, CAD-users working from home controlling their job PC at work and an IT team that need remote control capability. With clients ranging from Win XP-Win 11, Android and iOS and the need of unattended access. The ISL Light solution is a cost effective and stable.

Pros

  • Ease of use UI
  • Stable remote control
  • Permissions and user management
  • Quick and helpful support
  • Nice to have quick start functions

Cons

  • Lackluster Mobile device control (Android)
  • Invite another operator to session is awkward to use
  • File transfers method feels dated
  • Software spending for remote control lower than our previous software
  • Better overview of total license usage
  • Simplified user management
A streamlined application, it's easy to visually understand as an end user where to click and how the software works. It's also fairly easy to create distinction with tags and aliases between devices. Also support for two factor policies which is fairly easy for the user to understand and use.
Using a set up where a group or individuals are allowed to connect to isolated machines, instead of letting everyone with the code to be able to access. We also got the choice of unattended access to certain accounts. ISL meets any security needs we get, both internal remote view and external remote view.
The technical support is above fenomenal, we've used them several times and always get quick and personal responses. Mainly we use the chat via the website and are the techs not able to answer the question they usually reach back fairly quick through email. I can easily compare to other vendors where it's a real hassle to get tech help, but not with ISL, we always get timely help and this should be industry standard.
Simple UI with ease of use for the end user. ISL Light compability with a range of Windows OS's. Cost effective in relation to number of licenses versus active remote control techs. Great tech support and aftersale service puts ISL Light at the front of the line above the rest.

Yes

Are you happy with ISL Light's feature set?

Yes

Did ISL Light live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ISL Light go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ISL Light again?

Yes

As a basic remote controlling tool you cannot go wrong, using the mouse pointer tools to help the user requesting help is nice. We also do not suffer from lag. As a IT tool used for support it's very well recieved among our techs. It's also very easy for us to provide ISL Light access to clients outside the domain (such as production PCs) by generating installation files for superusers in the organization, these files carry permission-sets and are really easy to use.
